BELGIAN-STYLE

Belgian beers are typically top-fermenting ales that are bottled-conditioned & contain yeast sediment, both desired & undesired (carefull pouring!).  Some have blends of many types of yeast or even blends of young & old.  Some are created using spontaneous, natural fermentation.  The uniqueness of this diverse regional yeast is what imparts much of the Belgium flavor & aromas.  They are unlike any other in the world.

BARLEY WINE

Despite its name, a "bareleywine" is very much a beer, albeit a very strong & often intense beer!  In fact, it's one of the strongest.  Sometimes sweet & sometimes bittersweet, but always alcoholic.  A brew of this strength can be a challenge to the palate.
